Education is essential to achieve full human potential and contribute to national development. In the coming times, India will be the country with the largest youth population in the world. The task of providing quality education to these youth will depend on India. UNVEILING GENDER BIAS IN AI: ETHICAL CHALLENGES AND GLOBAL FAIRNESS WITH INSIGHTS FROM JHARKHAND, INDIA

Dr. Annita Ranjan

Received Date: 21/10/2024 | Accepted Date: 25/11/2024 | Published Date: 01/12/2024

Issue: Oct-Nov, 2024 | Volume/Issue:12/66 | Page No.: 10 - 26

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming industries globally by enhancing efficiency and enabling data-driven decisions. However, its widespread adoption has surfaced significant ethical issues, notably gender bias within algorithmic systems. This study investigates the ethical dilemmas of AI in perpetuating or reducing gender bias across key sectors such as employment, healthcare, and financial services. While international research underscores AI-induced gender disparities, there is limited understanding of its localized effects, particularly in regions like Jharkhand, India. To address this, the research conducts a comparative analysis of global trends and localized data from Jharkhand, incorporating primary data from the region and secondary data from Meghalaya and the broader North East of India. Findings indicate that AI-driven recruitment, healthcare algorithms, and credit-scoring systems disproportionately disadvantage women, mirroring global trends and highlighting region-specific challenges influenced by cultural, social, and economic factors. The study emphasizes the unique obstacles women in Jharkhand face, including restricted access to AI opportunities, and provides an ethical critique of algorithmic decision-making that may exacerbate existing inequalities. It proposes solutions such as developing inclusive AI systems, implementing regulatory oversight, and establishing ethical frameworks focused on fairness, accountability, and transparency. Ultimately, this research offers actionable recommendations to mitigate AI-induced gender bias, advocating for inclusive datasets, regular bias audits, and AI literacy programs to empower women in underrepresented areas like Jharkhand, thereby contributing to the broader discourse on ethical AI deployment.

Issue: Oct-Nov, 2024 | Volume/Issue:12/66 | Page No.: 69 - 74

This paper explores the themes of motherhood, resistance, and subaltern identity in Mahasweta Devi’s novel Mother of 1084, delving into how Devi uses the protagonist’s journey to highlight social injustice and political turmoil. Set against the Naxalite movement's violent backdrop in West Bengal, Mother of 1084 follows Sujata, who uncovers her son’s political motivations and life posthumously. Through Sujata’s journey, Devi crafts a narrative that transcends personal grief, probing into the larger structures of power, class, and systemic oppression that define and suppress the subaltern in India. This study examines Devi’s nuanced portrayal of motherhood as a tool of resistance, Sujata’s transformation, and the novel's broader social implications.

Political patterns and trends remain dynamic over the period in Maharashtra since the post-independence era. Still, Lok Sabha election results in Maharashtra have shown significant changes and trends over recent decades, reflecting the developing political landscape of the state. Maharashtra has seen a shift from the traditionally dominated party of the Indian National Congress towards coalition politics and the rise of regional parties like the National Congress party, Shiv Sena. The 2014 Lok Sabha election verdict in Maharashtra marked a major turning point as the Bharatiya Janata Party emerged as the dominant party, and that trend continued into 2019. The 2024 Lok Sabha election verdict highlights a competitive and fragmented political environment. The BJP-led NDA continues to hold significant ground, especially in urban areas, while the opposition INDIA alliance, consisting of the Congress, NCP (Sharad Pawar faction), and Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray faction), remained strong in several constituencies.

Adv. Deepali Shivaji Bhalshankar

Received Date: 21/10/2024 | Accepted Date: 25/11/2024 | Published Date: 01/12/2024

Issue: Oct-Nov, 2024 | Volume/Issue:12/66 | Page No.: 123 - 135

DNA follows required 66 days for huge violations and 44 days for high-volume offenses to be accounted for. An obscure suspect was distinguished by matching the follows to the Wrongdoer DNA data set in 3% of serious wrongdoing cases and 1% of high-volume wrongdoing cases. This article proposes that utilizing DNA achievement paces of follows and further developing legal DNA testing in the law enforcement framework can work on the utilization of DNA for knowledge purposes, for example, recognizing suspects. The decentral quick DNA methodology brought request time contrasted down with the standard technique, as indicated by the review. The typical cycle is postponed for the most part by police examination methods, not DNA investigation, featuring the meaning of a viable work process and proper limit. Quick DNA strategies are less delicate than ordinary DNA investigation hardware, as per this review. The innovation used in this study was just to some extent satisfactory for spit follows found at the crime location and is best for noticeable blood follows with a solitary contributor's high DNA amount.
