A COMPARATIVE STUDY ON EDUCATIONAL ASPIRATION OF TRIBAL AND NON- TRIBAL HIGHER SECONDARY STUDENTS IN SONITPUR DISTRICT OF ASSAM

 The study investigates the educational aspiration of tribal and non- tribal higher secondary science stream students. The sample of the study consists 100 students from Sonitpur district of Assam. Survey method was used for collection of data. The result of the study reveals that there is no significant difference on educational aspiration of tribal and non- tribal students.

HOME ENVIRONMENT & STUDY HABIT OF SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS

\"\"The present study was conducted on 100 secondary school students to find out the difference in home environment & study habit of secondary school students as well as to study the relationship between home environment & study habit of students in State board school of Maharashtra. Home environment inventory developed by Dr. Karuna Shankar Mishra (1985) & Study habit inventory developed by Dr. M. N. Palsane & Anuradha Sharma (1971) was used to collect the relevant data.  Mean, S.D., t-test & correlation was used to analyze the data. The finding revealed that there exists significant difference between Home environment & Study habit of boys & girls. The results of the study revealed that a significant positive relationship of Home environment components with Study habit.

EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE IN ADOLESCENTS WITH RESPECT TO DEMOGRAPHICS AND GENDER

Emotional intelligence is an outgrowth of two areas of psychological research that emerged over forty years ago. The first area, cognition and affect, involved how cognitive and emotional processes interact to enhance thinking. Nowadays many researches are being conducted on assessing the emotional intelligence of children of different age groups. The present research was conducted to assess the emotional intelligence of adolescents between the age group 12-19 years. Descriptive survey method was adopted for the study and the sample of 200 students belonging to urban and rural areas of Aurangabad district was selected using random sampling technique. Mean, S.D and t-test was used as the statistical techniques. The findings revealed that the emotional intelligence in the adolescents residing in urban and rural areas of Aurangabad district is average. The findings further revealed that there was no significant difference found in the emotional intelligence of adolescents with respect to demographics and gender.

ONLINE PERSONALITY (A CRITICAL REVIEW PERSONALITY ANALYSIS OF FACEBOOK USER)

Nowadays almost all the people are using social media. In addition, it is very often that they post something on social media that relates with their interest or hobby which later can be analyzed to know their personality type. This moreover, if the psychological behavior can be accurate and precise for every person that is active in social media, we can do some kind of “foreseeing” what the person will like even though they have not posted it in the internet. Researches provides self-reported personality scores for what are known in psychological practice as the \\\'big five\\\' traits: openness, conscientiousness, extroversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism—the OCEAN model. Through this, researchers could establish which likes equated with higher levels of particular traits e.g. liking \\\'Salvador Dali\\\' or \\\'meditation\\\' showed a high degree of openness. In this paper, researcher did a critical review of related literature and studies the relationship between language and the posts use on Facebook and personality traits.

ADJUSTMENT PROBLEMS OF HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS

The present study has been designed to investigate the adjustment of higher secondary school students concerning their gender, locality, management. Six hundred higher secondary school students studying in the Guntur town of Guntur district were selected as samples. In this investigation, Adjustment Inventory was developed by Sinha&Singh (1971). The reliability of the coefficient was 0.95. The results showed that higher secondary school students differed in their adjustment problems levels. Gender and management of higher secondary school students make a significant difference in their adjustment problems, whereas locality of higher secondary school students makes no significant difference in the adjustment problems.
